During your first year in the program, you will attend the Work Term Preparation Course. Designed to complement your academic courses, the tutorial prepares you for the challenges of co-op work placements.
Coordinators, assisted by many expert guests, cover topics such as career planning, workplace skill development, networking, preparation for job search and co-op placement, tips to achieve success on the job, and much more. This non-credit course is required of all co-op students, and must be successfully completed in order to begin the work term.
New students
Please add one of the following four sections of COPD07Y3 to your 2008/09 schedule through ROSI:
TUT0001 - Fridays, 10:00am-11:00am in MW 120
TUT0002 - Fridays, 11:00am-12:00pm in MW 120
TUT0003 - Wednesdays, 11:00am-12:00pm in MW 160
TUT0004 - Wednesdays, 12:00pm-1:00pm in MW 160
Our first meeting will take place in the first week of classes (September 10th and 12th). The room might change for the second term of tutorial classes. To help you become more familiar with the Co-op Program, an Agenda book will be reserved in your name at our Co-op office (MW270). This book can be picked up beginning the first day of classes. The Co-op staff is looking forward to meeting you and working with you as you proceed through the Program.
Summer Session
We will also have a summer session of the course for those students who were admitted internally. We will meet every week on Tuesdays from 1:00pm to 3:00pm in MW 140 plus 2 scheduled Fridays. The summer session will run from June 24 to August 5, 2008.
