The Health & Wellness Centre supports healthy lifestyles. We develop programs, events, and partnerships which encourage students to make informed decisions about their health.
Health & Wellness Centre is excited to work with students, faculty and staff on initiatives that promote healthy lifestyles. Previous endeavors include productions, fairs, presentations and program planning to name a few.
In the Health & Wellness Centre we have an array of pamphlets available to all students on various health topics. Nurses are also available for one-on-one counselling regarding nutrition, birth control and to discuss any particular health topic that you may have questions about.
The Wellness Peer Programs are made up of student volunteers called Peer Educators who have been trained in the following programs. Their focus is to be a reliable resource to students on campus by contributing to health promotion activities for the purpose of fostering a healthy community.

Focuses on healthy relationships, birth control, barrier methods, STIs and HIV prevention.
Focuses on Canada’s Food Guide, dieting, metabolism, vegetarianism and healthy eating.
Focuses on alcohol and drug awareness particularly impairment, liability, risk taking and communication skills related to partying.
Focuses on tobacco awareness particularly tobacco policy, tobacco use, prevention and cessation.
Focuses on emotional well-being and addresses topics on stress management, relaxation, self-care, sleep and destigmatizing mental illness.
