| Eat Smart Fair | ||
Time: 11 am to 3 pm UTSC's cafeteria is working towards being Eat Smart certified, and the
Nutritional Health Peers want you to join us to celebrate this and learn
more about the program. There will be information about healthy eating,
smoking awareness and self-care. Dieticians from Toronto Public Health
will also be giving out information and answering questions. Refreshments
will be provided. |

Fitness Class Marathon and Fitness Social

the Athletic Department and the Heart & Stroke Foundation
This amazing event is being hosted by the Athletic Department and the Heart & Stroke Foundation. It consists of a 2 hour Fitness Marathon, and following that a 1 hour Fitness Social. The Athletic Department has invited the Nutritional Health Peers to have a display booth during the Fitness Social, so come on out to the whole event!

The 21 Day Challenge hopes to promote healthy lifestyles to the students at the UTSC campus. Come join our Peer Educators and get involved in our exciting workshops filled with free food and prizes, and the chance to learn about how you can eat more nutritiously along with tips on healthy exercising.
We will be offering three workshops over the course of three weeks:
Workshop #1: Canada’s Food Guide and Canada’s Physical Activity Guide

Workshop #2: Tools for a Healthy Lifestyle
Wednesday, January 21st from 5 - 6 pm

Workshop #3: Decoding Diets
Wednesday, January 28th from 5 - 6 pm

Each workshop will consist of a short presentation and an exciting challenge, where you can compete to win ballots for a chance to win prizes. You will also be provided with handy meal and exercise tracking worksheets to record your progress.
We will also be offering office hours in the Student Centre, which will give you a chance to speak directly with one of the Physical Activity Coaches and Educators or the Nutritional Health Peers. Also, at each office hour, you can fill out a trivia sheet for a chance to win more prizes.

Starting January 12th, 2009, we will be offering one workshop a week, with topics ranging from the exciting new Canada’s Food Guide to Dieting Fads. At each workshop, there will be a challenge which you can compete in to be eligible for the chance to win great prizes. The more challenges and workshops you complete, the greater the chance to win prizes. Also, you can look for our office hours, which the Nutritional Health Peers and P.A.C.E. will be holding in the Student Centre throughout those three weeks. This will give you the chance to ask questions, and win more prizes!
